Austauschsemester Taiwan

During my stay at MCUT we had to opportunity to spend a weekend at the home of a local student. On our trip we went to the Yangmingshan National Park outside of Taipei. For that we traveled through Taipei on a Scooter. There we visited the Bamboo Lake and walked trough the landscape. The climate was very different from the city. Much colder and while in the city it was sunny fog and cloud lined the mountainside. In a small local restaurant we stopped for our lunch break. Like very recently in Switzerland you could only pay in cash. However since the pandemic in Switzerland QR-code based payment is quite common even in small shops. ...

Today we dyed our own t-shirts in a traditional way. Unfortunatly it rained the whole day so the visit to the sanxia old street afterwards wasn’t that great. Xinshan Bridge Before we deyed our t-shirts we had to decide what kind of pattern we wanted. The staff was very helpful and even did the complicated pattern we selected. Afterwards we had to dye the shirts. For that we had to soak them for three times for five minutes in the water. In the beginning the shirts were green. However exposing it to the air will turn the greenish color to blue. ...

For two days we were at Sanxia Old street and had to task to analyze diffrent local businesses and make cases how to they could be improved. Day One was primarly visiting the diffrent shops and gathering further information. On the second day we built a better case. Since we had enough time we could explore the region more. So I went to a local hill. It was 3km to the peak and around 300 meters to climb. After 2h I arrived on the top. When traveling back I met a group of other Students. So I walked with them to nice Outlook. Afterwards we were a bit late to arrive, but it was worth it.
